Volunteers Needed! Help Restore a Section of Trail in Big Finn Hill Park

The Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance is seeking volunteers on Saturday, May 21 (9:30am), to help restore a section of trail in Big Finn Hill Park. The trail section is located just north of NE 138th Place, where there is a crosswalk and the kiosk built by Evergreen years ago.

The team will use concrete rubble, plus crushed rock provided by King County Parks, to build a masonry turnpike through a perpetually wet low spot. Time permitting, the crew will tackle some nearby smaller wet spots. Rock and rubble will be hauled in from the street, so wheelbarrows and shovels are needed.

Recommend fashion: long pants, sturdy shoes, gloves, etc. Bring some water and snacks. Park on NE 138th just off Juanita Drive, or on 72nd Ave NE just west of the kiosk. A sandwich board or two will be put out for markers. Congregate at the kiosk at 9:30 am to start hauling material.
