Don’t Miss the Christmas Ship!

Don’t Miss the Christmas Ship!

Don’t Miss the Christmas Ship!

The magnificent magical Christmas Ship with its sparkling elven entourage advents in late afternoon on the shoreline of Denny Park this year: 4 – 4:20pm,  Sunday, December 22. The firemen build us a rip roaring bonfire, the live music of The Dickens Carolers echoes across the water, the paths are lined with luminaries, hot chocolate warms the bellies, children’s eyes sparkle all along the waterline, and throngs of neighbors LOVE this annual event. Come one, come all, and bring your friends for the best Christmas Ship park party of them all.

This year, the ship comes early in the evening, at 4pm, but it’s the day after the shortest day of the year.  Come celebrate the first moment of the return of light! Walk there if you can, along Holmes Point, or down through Denny Park pathways. Part of the magic is venturing out in the dark and cold of winter into flashlights, fire sparks, and moving waves of watery music! It all happens fast, so get there early and stay late as the fire crackles down and heats up and neighbors keep on singing. If you’d like to actually ride on the ship, go to http://www.argosycruises.com/dining-cruises/christmas-ship-festival/ to reserve your spot. They sell cocktails with lights in the ice cubes!
