WKEND: Garage Sale & Community Future Day

WKEND: Garage Sale & Community Future Day

Finn Hill friends and neighbors:

Just a final update about events this Saturday. It’s going to rain – a real shock, I know – and we want to make sure you have an some good alternatives to the sunbathing session you had planned:
Finn Hill Garage Sale Extravaganza: We’ve got 19 garages participating this year. Check out the interactive map for locations. And some amazing stuff is for sale. Here’s a sampler:
o   Tools (you can never have enough tools)
o   Pink flamingos (is there any other kind?)
o   A parakeet (not sure if cage comes with it)
o   A gumball machine
o   A rotary phone
o   A roll top desk
o   A used tombstone (for somebody, this one has your name on it)
…and best of all…
o   A clock that runs slow (who wouldn’t want that? We should all have clocks that run slow)

The garage sales start at 10am and wrap up around 4pm, although the folks selling the slow running clock may be open until later. Now you have an excuse to wander around the neighborhood. Happy hunting!

Community Future Day: As previously mentioned, Kirkland is hosting a community planning festival at City Hall, 123 Fifth Avenue, from 10am to 2pm. Find out what the future holds for our neighborhoods, streets, parks. Ask questions and voice your opinions.

Have a great weekend!
