Approved: Radar Speed and Flashing Beacon Safety Projects

Two Finn Hill safety projects were approved at last night’s City Council meeting. FHNA board members submitted these requests as part of the City’s Neighborhood Safety Program, which prioritizes proposed projects that address pedestrian and bicycle safety issues in Kirkland’s neighborhoods. The approved Finn Hill projects include:

  1. A Rapid Flashing Beacon at 84th Avenue NE and NE 138th Street (near Thoreau Elementary and the entrance to Big Finn Hill Park).
  2. A radar speed sign on Juanita Drive (in the vicinity of Woodlands Park).
