Workparty MacDonald Preserve Sat. March 3

There will be a tree planting event at the Denny Creek MacDonald Memorial Preserve on Saturday March 3rd from 10am to 1pm. Forterra is sponsoring the event. Please join the workparty. Click below on the sign up link. This 6-acre forested property overlooks Lake Washington and is linked by an extensive trail system to neighboring Big Finn Hill Park, O.O. Denny Park, and St. Edwards Park. It is a forested preserve of a dense canopy of Western Hemlock, Big Leaf Maple, Red Alder, and Douglas Fir grow on the slopes of the steep ravine of Denny Creek.

Where to Park: Parking is available in a lot across from the entrance to OO Denny Park. I will be set up by the parking lot with tools and sign-in sheets, so I shouldn’t be hard to miss!

What to bring: Please remember to dress for the weather, we suggest the following: boots or comfortable athletic shoes, work clothes, rain gear and appropriate layers.  Volunteers should bring a filled water bottle.  Water, snacks, tools, gloves and training will be provided. No experience necessary!
